Yuka App Function Design (UI + UX)

The Yuka function design was part of a UI and Ux school project. Yuka is a well known food scanning app that lets you know about the quality of the products you find in grocery store. The idea was to add a function to benefit the already existing app.

The Ux part of the project was more statistic oriented as we had to poll people about their grocery shopping habits, their mobile app usage and what kind of functionality they would find handy while shopping. Once I had an idea on what people wanted out of their app, I decided to implement a whole new section of the app that would help people find, plan and cook meals including products that are well rated on Yuka and therefore considered healthier.

The Ui part of the project was to fire up Figma and design the new functionality within the already existing app’s layout and general design. Check the video below for a more intuitive view of the design.
