This is a personal project that is really special to me. It all started when I had the idea of blending the perfect mix of chilled out old school Hip Hop (I grew up in the 90’s) to ease my mornings and giving me energy to start my day on a good vibe. Once I had it recorded, It was time to design the cover art that would appear on my Soundcloud page, so I took out my camera and threw together a few vinyl records (the goal here was to give it that dusty feeling, the same feel you get when listening to old rap records that heavily sampled even older records, that needle drop, pops and scratches). At the time, I was also studying Web Design, so as a school project I decided to create a website around the compilation, as if I was to sell it for real. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the process as I had total control over every aspect of it, the entire artistic direction of the project.
